Replacing the Coin Rubber Strip
Turn off the machine and open the top lid.
Release the locking catch and open the upper deck, 180° .
Pointed hooks
Tool holds
Put the clamp tool on the tool holds of the strip clamp.
Press the tool together to release the strip clamp.
The strip clamp will lock in a slackened position.
Pull the strip clamp up towards lid.
The tool can be used for this purpose as well.
Replace the coin rubber strip.
To position the coin rubber strip correctly make sure that the arrow is pointing towards the upper deck.
With the upper deck open 180\xfb as shown below.
Place the strip clamp around the coin rubber strip in the machine.
To avoid crinkles on the rubber strip, apply a small amount of Hellerine fluid lubricant or similar around inside face of the strip clamp.
Check that the strip clamp and the rubber strip are down all around, see .
Fasten the strip clamp using the two pointed hooks.

Where did you get the idea that it's 'a clamp in the shape of a strip'? Given "tool holds" plural and that its job is to hold a "rubber strip" it looks like 'a clamp for strips' to me.
