Czech term
GV
Czech to English
Medical
Medical: Health Care
Gynaecology
Gynecological examination:
"...v dutine delozni GV o vel.23,6mm s YS odpovida 6+2"
The examination is of a missed abortion, I assume GV is the embryo, just not sure what the abbreviation stands for and what term is best to use.
Also - any idea what is YS in this context? Perhaps I need to add another question for that.

Thank you, brilliant! Any idea on what YS means here? |
Oh yes, found it - yolk sac - could that be corresponding to 6 + 2 weeks of pregnancy ? |

'germinal vescicle' vs 'gestational sac'
'GV' should of course be interpreted in the light of the context, but I'll post this for information purposes:
For ‘gestační váček, I find ‘gestational sac’.

germinal vesicle
(GV) An oocyte nucleus development stage occurring within the ovarian follicle that is before meiosis 1 and meiosis 2. The nuclear chromatin changes can also be divided into an early decondensed phase (nucleolus not surrounded by heterochromatin) and a later chromatin condensed phase (perinucleolar rings can occur depending on species).
gestational sac
A fluid-filled structure that forms within the uterus early in pregnancy. In a normal pregnancy, a gestational sac contains a developing fetus.

'vescicle' should be 'vesicle', of course!

Discussion
'YS' is in the dictionary too: žloutkový váček (yolk sac).
