Spanish term

realizó todas sus acciones de forma inclusiva

Spanish to English Other Religion
Buen día estimados colegas:

Me encuentro traduciendo un documento religioso y aunque ya tengo una traducción del término que consulto me gustaría saber si puedo encontrar un término más natural y apropiado al contexto.

Source text:

Tomando en cuenta que Jesús realizó todas sus acciones de forma inclusiva y se caracterizó por estar a la par de los que eran consideramos más vulnerables, respondió con amor y solidaridad cuando uno de sus hermanos más pequeños sufría.

Translation:
Considering that Jesus Christ performed all his deeds inclusively, and that he was characterised by supporting those considered the most vulnerable, he responded with love and solidarity when one of his younger brothers suffered.

Discussion

Domini Lucas Aug 31, 2018:
re “inclusive” Suggest that thought needs to be given about using the word “inclusive”. It may be an accurate translation, however, in current UK Church circles Inclusive Church has a very specific meaning and it is sometimes viewed as ‘making a statement’. see https://www.inclusive-church.org

If the wider context is referring to the “Inclusive Church” /its beliefs specifically, then the term will work ok. Otherwise a more ‘neutral’ term might be better so as to avoid confusion. Or a re-jig of sentence order using ‘included’ instead, as that is more neutral.

Hi Allegro,

The answer to your question would be spiritual.
AllegroTrans Aug 30, 2018:
Style required Modern or scriptural?
David Hollywood Aug 30, 2018:
as I said I basically agree with Phil but posting a viable alternative
MollyRose Aug 30, 2018:
to use Scriptural language without respect of persons, and with love and understanding when one of the least of His brethren suffered.

everything he did was inclusive

I wouldn't say "younger brothers", since this presumably refers to children in general. Also, "solidarity" is wrong for this context.

agree David Hollywood : in general I agree but how about "took an (all-) inclusive approach in everything he did.... or encompassing
