I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with this particular term. It crops up in a set of minutes of a meeting discussing the results of paint tests on vehicles, in a section headed:

Procédure Label Fonds et Finition

And here are the instances where it crops up:

Etat des lieux des différents sites pour connaître la procédure utilisée pour la réalisation de label fonds lorsqu'il s'agit de pièces type raidisseur.
Le Labo d’xxxx a été confronté à un désaccord avec le fournisseur et XXXX sur la méthode utilisée.
A la vue des quantités de label fonds qui arrivent certes de façon périodique mais toujours par 5 voir plus, le Labo d’xxxxx procède souvent en ce qui concerne les pièces par frottements.
Il est assez rare de trouver des labels fonds non conforme, même pour ce type de pièce, mais dans leur cas la pièce a donnée un résultat non conforme qui n'a pas été validé par XXXX.

A client glossary gives "General Class" for "Label" but I'm not convinced that this applies here. I am veering towards thinking that this is a company-specific term, and everyone reading these minutes will know exactly what is meant, but I am somewhat stumped. Before I revert to the client, I thought I'd ask to see if anyone out there had some insights. Thanks in advance.
