Tat Tvam Asi I am very sorry the third answer arrived so late. I don't see a way to correct the glossary entry, hopefully Java Cafe will do that for us. Thank you for the correction, adirasam.

Thou Art That

Or, "That Thou Art" (if the order of words needs to be strictly maintained).

This is Sanskrit.

This phrase is one of the key phrases (referred to as the Maha-mantra or Great-mantra of "The Bhagavad Gita").

In the East, this ancient Hindu maxim describes the resolution of subjectivity and objectivity.

agree Will Matter : in a manner of speaking, this is correct, it's a little more colloquial.

disagree jamshed : when the translation can be exactly carried out, there need not be any,'in a manner of speaking'

agree karmarkara : The context is likely of Ganapati Atharvashirasha. Whole sentence might be'Twameva Pratyaksham Tatwamasi' meaning, whatever I see, we find you (The Lord, The Creator) at its 'Tatwa', 'the center'; "So, make me creative too" could be the implied prayer.

Sanskrit term (edited): tvat tam asi [tat tvam asi]

that thou are

Please correct the original sanskrit line as tat tvam asi and not tvat tam asi. tat = that tvam = you asi=are.

agree Mrudula Tambe : sounds better
