Albanian term

mbrojtje parësore shëndetësore

Albanian to English Medical Medical: Health Care nurse\'s education
My first guess at this term was "first aid" but then I switched to"preventive health care". Can somebody confirm?

Discussion

MSc Jonis Buzi Mar 23, 2018:
True After the second question, it became clear that 'primary health care' was the right solution. Apparently it is a text from Kosovo.
I think that 'emergency nursing', as suggested by a colleague, is the correct term and refers to unit of nurses in a primary health care institution (hospital) which deals with patients having urgent need for medical assistance.

I sent the question to my client If first aid/primary health care is the correct solution, the term in my second question, "infermieria emergjente" is more puzzling than ever. Let's leave it to the customer, shall we? The certificate is 10 years old but I hope she will have an explanation.

preventive health care

The other options provided are not sufficiently convincing because they skip the meaning of 'mbrojtje'.
It is possible, though, that the text has been poorly drafted in which case none of our answers here can help you clarify anything.

Linking this question to your last one, it is highly probably that the author meant "Kujdesi Shëndetësor Parësor".

first aid

I would better stick to first aid on this one.

Or "primary health care" if you are looking for a more adequate term.

agree Juljan Gjura : Coming to health care education, I would better agree with "first aid".

Primary health care

Primary health care is the first point of contact for health care for most people. It is mainly provided by GPs (general practitioners), but community pharmacists, opticians and dentists are also primary health care providers.

(If this is the context, otherwise "first aid" will do).
Peer comment(s):

agree Harold Lemel : I would go with this one
