I'm translating instructions and lesson materials for a robotics kit. One of the models the students build is called РАМКОСТРЕЛ. It looks like it might be a catapult? Google has totally failed me! Any help/discussion much appreciated.

"Рамкострел" sounds like a newly coined word in Russian. It's the first time I ever heard of it. So I believe it's worth coining a similar word in English.
