Disagree - Simply for the fact that the type of relationship is described in the previous sentence. It is used to prevent one of the parties from representing the relationship as any other type, i.e. employer-employee

i.e. they're basically saying that the contract in question does not permit the other party to represent themselves as in an employer-employee; franchisor-franchisee; parent-subsidiary...etc...type of relationship.
THE CONTRACTED PARTY is an independent contractor. The execution of this contract will not bind both parties??
