French term

s'exercer par votre intermédiaire

French to English Law/Patents Medical: Pharmaceuticals Privacy policy
Hi,

I have the following sentence in a pharmacovigilance questionnaire

"rappeler [à vos patients] que ses droits d'accès et de rectification ne peuvent s'exercer que par votre intermédiaire"?

"can only be exercised through you as their intermediary"?

Thanks

Joanna

French term (edited): s'exercer par votre intermédiaire
Selected

can only be exercised through you as their intermediary

is correct
Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : It says "par votre", not "par vous comme leur". "Par votre intermédiaire" is a boilerplate phrase meaning "through you".

So?
agree TechLawDC : I prefer not to rewrite the author. Clients, particularly attorneys, like such an approach.

French term (edited): s\'exercer par votre intermédiaire

be exercised through you

"As their intermediary" is redundant. It just means "through you", as the many examples in my reference show.
Peer comment(s):

agree Daryo : be exercised only through you // technically correct, but OTOH there's nothing wrong with a bit of redundancy.
