Should the fatality have occurred in a working environment, the on-scene commander will notify the client representative.
The incident commander will immediately arrange for a company representative to be dispatched to the scene of the fatality (in work related fatalities this would be the on-scene commander and appropriate translator).
The press officer, in conjunction with the head office HR manager will arrange notification of next of kin, and where appropriate commence arrangements for visitation by the next of kin.
No statements will be made to the press or *individuals outside the incident* by any employee.
All statements will be issued only by the Press Officer; any individual who is questioned shall refer the questioner to the Press Officer.
In the event of a fatality, in addition to any company or client investigations, the government will initiate a police investigation.
