English term

preventive or preventative

Non-PRO English Other Other
We reported 1) the results of a review of domestic and overseas literature regarding adverse events associated with acupuncture and moxibustion in recent years; and 2) preventive measures against hepatitis B (HB).

In this case is there any difference between preventive and preventative?

Thank you for your kind help.

I probably should have continued...(the shorter version is more commonly used) in formal/academic texts (in my experience anyway)
