English term

if it is full beam type

English to French Tech/Engineering Ships, Sailing, Maritime Spécification technique d\'un yacht

Anglais :
The superstructure is completely made of fiberglass and is joined to the main deck and / or to the hull broadsides if it is full beam type.

Comment traduire "full beam" ici?

Discussion

Johannes Gleim Dec 22, 2017:

But it sounds strange that a mesure like beam (width, largeur) should determine, whether the deck is integral to the keel (quille), hull (coque) and shell (bordé) or not. I assume that it refers to a shell having the same high as the deck along the length. That's the reason, why I propose a different translation.
