Italian to English Medical Medical (general) Oncology
These are two samples taken for a histological examination for a patient with breast cancer. I can't find any reference to a horseshoe shape or to a U-shaped sample. Can anyone help?

ah sorry, that link is probably completely irrelevant, right? Just wondering if this might have anything to do with cavity shaving/removal of additional circumferential margins - that could perhaps look a bit like a horseshoe maybe?
