Definitely hedging settlements. Thank you.
Francois Boye Oct 5, 2017:
Unless we know more, 'hedging settlements' is the right translation
Alex Ossa Oct 5, 2017:
More context needed Hi Wibblet,

You've received two very good possibilities from the translators below, but without having more context regarding the term, it's impossible to know which one is right.
Having worked with the electricity sector, I would venture it's more likely that it has to do with hedging prices. However, given the alternative possibility, even though there is no mention of ratios in this sentence we have no way of knowing whether they have been mentioned previously. Right now, either one could be right.
Please inform us so we can all have closure!!

amount for hedging settlements

'hedging' because the electricity contract includes risks to hedge

agree John Rynne : Yes, but a naive reading suggests that the settlements are being hedged, when it is really the hedges that are being settled. Maybe "hedge settlement amount"?

amount for settlement of the coverage ratios

It is the term used for a payment to remunerate renewable energy producers in Spain.

The Spanish National Authority for Markets and Competition (CNMC) has published the coverage ratio regarding the FIT settlements of March 2015, which has been set at 68,68%. In the following table we can see how the percentages published for 2015 are considerably superior to those applied in the same period of 2014.

This means that renewable energy producers have the right to get paid a 68,68% of the amount they should have received during the first three months of 2015 in the settlements for March. The remaining sum will not be settled until the system’s income allows for this payment.

The highest increase took place between January and February, when the ratio increased more than 30%, whereas the increase between February and March has not been more than 8%.
