How would you translate "lien or charge" in the following sentence:
Nothing in this Deed shall prejudice or impair in any way any lien or charge to which the trustees are entitled in respect of any tax and other liabilities whatever for which they are or may become accountable.

The idea is a charge on the property.

Just as a note, the property must be specified in the final text, ie. "droit grevant l'immeuble" or "droit réel sur l'immeuble".

"Une charge" could also be acceptable as a more specific alternative to the "droit grevant un immeuble": http://www.btb.termiumplus.gc.ca/tpv2alpha/alpha-eng.html?la...
So it would read "un privilège ou une charge grevant l'immeuble".

: A "gage" is a pledge, when a chattel is given in guarantee of something. We are dealing with real property here.

To prejudice something: compromettre, faire échec à
To impair a lien: porter atteinte à un privilège
