The Guarantor shall not
claim, accept or prove as creditor or recover by the institution of proceedings or the threat of proceedings or otherwise prove in competition with the Employer in respect of any monies owing to it by the Contractor in the event of any bankruptcy, liquidation or other insolvency proceedings relating to the Contractor and the Guarantor shall give the Employer the benefit of each such claim and proof of all the monies to be received in respect thereof and in the meantime hold the same in trust for the Employer.

Proof of debt
Proving is the process by which a creditor seeks to establish its claim against the insolvent estate. A proof of debt is the document on which a creditor submits details of its claim.

It is common for such guarantees to contain clauses which say that the guarantor may not (amongst other things) prove (=lodge proofs of debt*) in competition with the bank, lessor or supplier (as the case may be).
