This phrase appears in some Lebanese court rulings. It typically occurs after the details of the case and trial are summarized.

For example:
وتبين انه في الجلسة المنعقدة بتاريخ 3/7/2013 اختتمت المحاكمة أصولا.

Does the phrase mean "The trial was duly concluded" (i.e. the trial ended in accordance with procedures)?

Or does it just mean "The trial procedures ended"?

What I'm not sure about is the exact meaning of أصولا here.
