Ø Wpływ na statykę ciała mają:
1. pozycja ciała
- w symetrycznej pozycji stojącej na obu nogach punkt ciężkości ciała pada w środek czworoboku podparcia (pole na którym stoimy, zawarte pomiędzy linią łączącą obydwie pięty, końce paluchów obu stóp oraz brzegami bocznymi stóp)
- środek ciężkości przesuwa się w obrębie tego pola w miarę tego jak pochylamy tułów w przód, tył oraz na boki
- pozycje które rozszerzają czworobok podparcia i obniżają środek ciężkości zwiększają stabilność stania
- trwałe zmiany w budowie ciała powodują bądź zawężenie pola podparcia (brak jednej nogi), bądź trwałe symetryczne ustawienie się środka ciężkości w obrębie pola podparcia z (przymusowe odciążenie jednej kończyny, ból, niepełny zrost kostny, przykurcz, porażenie)

The increased activity of the masticatory muscles affects the muscles responsible for countersupport (sternoicleidomastoid muscle, trapezius muscle), thus resulting in the shortening of the posterior muscles of the neck and lengthening of the anterior muscles, with an anterior projection of the body that exceeds the support quadrilateral.
