Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Court appeal documents

Hi,

I'm translating a court appeal document from Spanish for Spain to British English. The part of the document where the tricky phrase appears is the section where the grounds on which one of the appellants lodges the appeal are elaborated. Please see the full sentence below:

'Y, si es que fuera necesario, que no lo es, dada la obviedad de lo que ahora se afirma, bastaría ver el despliegue de actividades y de titularidades interpuestas a que aparecen sometidos los ingresos de [x] de que aquí se trata.'

The evidence against the appellant showed that he owned a number of shell companies for the purposes of money laundering. On this basis, I was thinking that 'intermediary companies' or 'shell companies' may be appropriate in the context of the sentence and background information. Would that be suitable?
