agree spanruss : An interesting aside: although both are used here in seemingly equivalent adjectival forms, there is a difference between what is classified as clayey silt versus silty clay. It probably is best to leave the word order the same.

I was referring to "clayey-silt" versus "clayey-silty" as Google seems to prefer the former. I wasn't considering changing the word order.
