Czech term

branka štěrbina

Czech to English Medical Medical (general) Obstetrics, Gynecology
In a Czech medical report on a childbirth, the description under "Spec" includes the following:

"min. nahnědlý fluor, porcio cylindrické, branka štěrbina"

I am not sure if these two words should be two different questions or if they belong together. I understand the rest of the text, just not what these two words mean in English.

Thanks,

Stephen

neck of the uterus/orifice (slit)

zevní branka (děložní)
zevní vyústění děložního hrdla (cervix uteri), tj. do pochvy. Má odlišný vzhled u žen, které rodily (příčná štěrbina) a nerodily (okrouhlý tvar), její hodnocení je důležité při gynekologickém vyšetření v porodnictví (v průběhu porodu z. b. „zaniká“)
Example sentence:

The cervix or cervix uteri (Latin: neck of the uterus) is the lower part of the uterus in the human female reproductive system.

Following parturition, the orifice takes on an appearance more like a transverse slit or is "H-shaped".
