From a report from Spain for translation to British English:

agree neilmac : Ok, you're the expert. However, my answer was correct for the situations I described.

Thanks neilmac, you are right about the described situations but as for aviation approaches it is not suitable. Have a good day

That's 'minImum', sorry.

This example is about boats, but it's the same for all engines:

"Run at minimum revs to keep the boat moving on the basis of fewer revs ...

This one's about a plane:

"A few drops of fuel were put into the small tank fitted to the engine, then with a couple of flicks the engine was running, the revs were set to about 1/3 full, then the model was gently launched. ... I then decided to try the next flight with the engine at 'tick-over' revs, ...and with the Mills now at minimum revs, the model was launched again. "

Another option could be, for example in a scenario where they need to make an emergency landing, so fly around in circles to use up the fuel. In that kind of situation, the "minimos" could refer to minimum fuel level in the tanks.
