Wie sehr kommen folgende Sportsendungen für Sie in Frage?
This is a market research survey in which the question above is followed by the options below
Folgende Sportsendungen verfolge ich:
Überhaupt nicht, Eher nicht, Eher schon, Ganz sicher
I can't work out how to resolve this conundrum as the question seems to imply strength of feeling, but I feel strongly drawn to interpret it in terms of frequency.
Any help in squaring this circle would be gratefully received, both for the questions and the options

Paul Cohen
: And how would you translate the "Folgende Sportsendungen verfolge ich" bit? How about something with "likelihood"? What is the likelihood of you watching the following programs? That would fit with your answers, Michael.

Thanks, Tony. I use US spelling because that's what I am used to. Otherwise, I don’t feel strongly about differences between the varieties.

Comment: "I think this squares the circle of choosing between degree of interest and regularity. This is important as the research may be to do with preferences but not current habits. The use of the word likely covers both eventualities. "

I agree, the possible answers point towards frequency, which would also define the extent to which one is interested.

: Only natural-sounding one//Great as a stand-alone question. But just noticed that the response options don't fullty fit that question

Paul Cohen
: Not frequency, Ramey. It has to do with personal interest and/or (as Michael suggested) the likelihood that someone would watch a given program.
