I don't have much context to offer, just the title of a table:
Einfluß der verschiedenen oxyde auf die Verarbeitungseigenschaften vor der Pfeife.
In the rest of the article, which is more about analysis of various glass types than glass blowing, "verarbeiten mit der Pfeife" is used a couple of times, but I don't see what "vor" means here. Could it mean the properties before the glass is gathered onto the blowpipe? or the properties of the glass at the front end of the pipe?
Any ideas?

| To all responders: Lancashireman's answer seems to fit the best. English lead glass is indeed worked at the end of the blowpipe, at least until the cutting stage, and "workability (Verarbeitbarkeit)" is one of the main properties noted in the table in question. Thank you one and all. |

I agree with the Lancashireman - this is spatial, not temporal, at least in the limited context we have been given. There is a verb missing if it is supposed to be a temporal sequence - a verb which conceivably may have been supplied elsewhere in the paragraph, but I think not.
