I agree with Brigitte I immediately thought of a place where hospitalised children can play. Perhaps they're allowed to get out of bed and play with toys and/or other children, although I really don't know if such places exist.
BrigitteHilgner Jan 14, 2016:
Not a common expression, I dare say My spontaneous idea: some kind of play ground (mere guesswork).
If the name of the hospital were known, some googling might help ...
Charles Davis Jan 14, 2016:
@Sheila It's pure guesswork on what we have. I'm certainly not going to suggest an answer! You're right about the capitalisation, but then again that may or may not mean anything; I'm translating a Spanish document at the moment in which practically every other word is capitalised!
Sheila Wilson Jan 14, 2016:
I thought about that, Charles It is horribly common, but here we have it capitalised so maybe less likely?
Charles Davis Jan 14, 2016:
isle = aisle? Some people write "isle" when they mean "aisle"; they sound the same. An aisle can be a passage between rows of seats, and in the United States it's sometimes applied to the passage between beds in a hospital ward. So "children isle" might mean "children's aisle", referring to the children's ward or children's area of a ward in a hospital.

Really? You know nothing more about this text? Well, that's certainly all we know! We can guess if you like, but if you share a bit more information then our guesses may be a little less wild.
