Three notes 1. In this case "projeto" is a "design" not a "project"
2. The tailings come from the benificiation plant, not from the dam construction process. It is the leftover slurry from the process plant.
3. Spigotting is a method of spreading, compacting or stacking the tailings in the reservoir.

Thoughts... Martin, I've spent ten minutes scouring the web, and the issue is the word "espigotamento". It certainly exists, but I can't define it for you, sorry. We know that the "rejeitos" are the tailings or residue that comes out of the dam construction process, so the "espigotamento" must refer the treatment, titration, treatment, or physically pulping the tailings with a spiked mechanism... maybe? I can't tell. Just some thoughts, hope it gets you to your end goal.
