German term

Narbenzipfel

German to English Medical Medical (general) gynaecology, anatomical pathology
Hi all, I am translating an anatomical pathology report from German to Romanian and I cannot find an equivalent or explanation for the term Narbenzipfel in a gynaecological context. Any English translation/explanation would help.
The whole sentence is:
Material: Auf Kissen aufgepinnte partielles Kolpektomiepräparat der Scheidenhinterwand und linken Seitenwand sowie Narbenzipfel links mit Tupferanteil basal.
(The patient was previously subject to vaginectomy for vaginal cancer)

Thank you

More or less a guess...

"Zipfel" compares to "Anhängsel" compares to "appendage"....
