Karina, pus a opção em plural porque considero que a expressão completa é "blade drive flats", o que levaria o substantivo "drive" ao plural, já que, ao meu ver, a expressão seria então "planos acionadores da lâmina". De todos modos, é uma sugestão. Boa sorte!

: "the blade driven FLATTENS on top of the shaft" would mean the "blade drive" becomes flattened, not the shaft. Either way, "flats" is a noun in this sentence.

As it can be seen on the assembly drawing, the top of the shaft becomes flattened,the other way is the square one which is called in spanish "tipo cartucho"
