renouvellement supposé

French to English Marketing Marketing Board games
Hi there,

I am translating a market research report for a board game and have come across this term.

A suggestion English doesn't put words in brackets without making clear their relationship to the words outside brackets. Instead of putting "their child (age, gender)," I would say "their child's age and gender".

implied renewal (of interest in playing the game again)

Having read the whole text, I think the second sentence refers to two aspects of the content of a board game: perceived complexity of the rules and the implied renewal of interest in playing again on the part of the players.

ah yes that's exactly it isn't it. Thank you very much! Phil, I like the idea of expressing it as "the game remains fresh and exciting", thanks!

agree philgoddard : I think this is the idea, but I wonder if it could be expressed more clearly. For example, "the novelty does not wear off after a few games" or "the game remains fresh and exciting however often you play it".
