Spanish term

antecedente del acta

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Estoy traduciendo el acta de la asamblea general de una asociación. Aprobaron el informe de gestión del año anterior, "quedando el correspondiente documento como ***antecedente del acta***".

antecedente del acta - ¿alguna idea? No encuentro ninguna pista.

Agradezco cualquier sugerencia.

supporting document (to be) attached to the minutes / attachment to the minutes

I think this is what it means:

"de acuerdo a las disposiciones del Decreto Nº ……….. del …. de Abril de 2015, cuya copia hace entrega a los efectos de ser agregada como antecedente del acta de esta reunión"
https://aif.cnv.gov.ar/Infofinan/BLOB_Zip.asp?cod_doc=299559...

"Agregar como antecedente del acta, una copia de los estados contables aprobados de la memoria y del informe de la comisión fiscalizadora."
http://rig.tucuman.gov.ar:8001/boletin/aviso?nroboletin=2663...

The sense of "antecedente" is a supporting or background document, as in the "antecedentes" of a legal decision (the grounds) or of a contract (the recitals).

neutral Jacob Z. (X) : I think "background document" is better. It seems to be an existing term in relation to this context: http://www.google.com/search?q=minutes "background documents...

OK. I think it amounts to the same thing. They're just about equally common (slightly more "supporting" than "background" with minutes in Google, but not much in it).

neutral AllegroTrans : literal translation, but what exactly is an "antecedent of minutes"? Can you quote an example?// well, not one single ghit for your term, so I cannot see that it is used anywhere

Dear Chris: it is a written record of the meeting they held. Does it make sense to you? I would like to know the answer you already have in mind.´

previous minutes/minutes of previous meeting

Low confidence here, but without further context I suggest this might be referring to the minutes of the previous meeting being approved - a standard formality
Peer comment(s):

disagree Maximo Wilhelm Muñoz : I don´t think "previous minutes" is the name for it. Sorry. Non-literal, but also non-sense. Regards.

I did say 'low confidence'!
agree philgoddard : I don't think this is correct, but nor do I think people should give disagrees to 2s :-)//Nope, just wanted to get you out of the red, especially when the disagree came from someone whose answer made no sense!

thanks, but maybe you meant to give me a neutral?
