: I am amazed that even this sort of everyday term actually makes it to the Nl-En dicos. The words silver platter and handed come to mind/that would kill off the profession and make having brains totally unnecessary

in an ideal wold, every single word in the multiverse would be in a dictionary, all clearly defined, with translations into every existing language ;)/I wouldn't worry about our profession. Losse woorden are just that: losse woorden. No real threat IMNSHO
