I think the problem is that the English does not appear to be reliable
What does exist is peg boards to display phone chargers in stores.
If you have a look at this picture, you will see what looks very much like "dead displays" - fake phones :

: faudrait savoir: si display = présentoir, alors "dead display" = "présentoir factice" ce qui n'a aucun sens.

c'est mal rendu en effet, ça veut dire présentoir non actif/tel. non alimenté aussi car il est factice
