Static measurement is one of the earliest methods of imbalance measurement. Based on a gravity
model, static measurement may be performed without rotating a tire.

The static measurement method is most notably used on the “garage-style” bubble balancer,
where gravity causes the imbalanced tire to move the tooling so that the bubble indicates the
amount and angle of the imbalance.
