English term

double circuit-breaker remote magnetic transformer

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering electrical installations
From a works specification. I need to know the Spanish term for "double circuit-breaker remote magnetic transformer". This is a self-explanatory term in English but I can't find the Spanish equivalent.

Discussion

James Arthur Williamson (asker) Mar 28, 2015:
@ Niel Ashby Yes, it would be, if it were a translation, but it is not offered as such. It is what is found on websites of companies that sell them. Therefore, it is a pretty good indication of what they are called in the field, i.e. on a work site. As such, it is adequate for my purposes. However, if you can suggest a better one that's the reason we're on here, so please go ahead.
Neil Ashby Mar 28, 2015:
"transformador separador de circuitos" is a poor translation in Spanish.
Jennifer Levey Mar 28, 2015:
@JAW How is any of that relevant to the context of your question, as posted?
James Arthur Williamson (asker) Mar 28, 2015:
@Robin Levey A step-down transformer with primary and secondary windings providing separate output at different voltages for remote consumers. The dual breakers are protection devices.
James Arthur Williamson (asker) Mar 28, 2015:
Some Spanish sources use "transformador separador de circuitos" in similar contexts (e.g. http://www.tecnotrafo.net/productos/transformadores-2/transf... They are step-down transformers that provide current for two circuits, one with low voltage (for lighting, etc.) and another with medium/high voltage for works machinery.
Jennifer Levey Mar 28, 2015:
@Asker You have shot down in flames all three answers offered so far. And so have I :)

But you state in the question: "This is a self-explanatory term in English".

I beg to differ. So, what do you think it means in English?

Only with sight of your own understanding of the ST will I offer a valid translation for the complete expression.

http://www.endesaeduca.com/Endesa_educa/recursos-interactivo...

Note from asker:
Peer comment(s):

agree Alejandro Gonzalez : De acuerdo con 'interruptor'. Saludos

Muchas gracia Alejandro. Saludos
disagree Jennifer Levey : There's no mention of an 'interruptor' in the ST, as quoted.

For your info a circuit breaker is a disyuntor/interruptor. The ST doesn't have to state it in order to use. Common sense.

doble disyuntor de transformador magnético remoto

Note from asker:
Peer comment(s):

disagree Jennifer Levey : 'doble' is wrong, in context. And your 'explanation' is, in every sense of the word, nulo.

Suerte,
Note from asker:
Peer comment(s):

.
Note from asker:
That's a rather far-fetched explanation.
Peer comment(s):

agree Jennifer Levey : That's probably correct - assuming it fits Asker's un-stated context.
