Polish term

teoria prostej kolejki

Polish to English Marketing Management teoria kolejek
5. teoria prostej kolejki
Parametr A – średnia liczba klientów przybywająca w ciągu godziny
Parametr C - średnia liczba klientów, którą jest w stanie obsłużyć system w ciągu godziny
Średnia długość kolejki
średni czas oczekiwania w kolejce zawsze C>A

Please, help. Queuing theory seems not mention such a concept.

Discussion

Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. Feb 22, 2015:
Simple, after all. Glad you've found your answer.

Thanks a lot for the fruitful discussion :)
I find the links quoted by mike23 particularly useful:

single-channel model seems to be what I'm looking for.

Great. I'm glad I could help. Feel free to use the ideas in your answer. Later Frank

These examples are a treasure trove of information. Among them, I found a Simple (M/M/1) Queuing Model. One of its consequences is that Service rate > arrival rate, which is what the question entails. Thanks.

mike23 Feb 22, 2015:
I see. I can't answer for sure. I thought there was 'the basic queuing theory (model)' [= simple] and the complex queuing, but I am not sure.

Thank you, Michał. The question is whether this is a "simple queue/waiting line (sometimes so called)" or a theory that has a name attached to it in English literature. The fact that "prosta kolejka" appears just a couple of times on Polish web pages may indicate that this is "prosta" with the meaning of "simple" (rather than straight or winding, as an example).

13. Założenia do modelu teorii prostej kolejki.

I may have found another alternative.
Does the theory simply say C>A?
I found Little's theory, law, .....
The long-term average number of customers in a stable system L is equal to the long-term average effective arrival rate, λ, multiplied by the (Palm‑)average time a customer spends in the system, W; or expressed algebraically: L = λW.

theory of a simple queue

Rather than a simple theory, which could be mistaken with an uncomplicated theory.

Simple (M/M/1) Model Characteristic

Type: Single-channel, single-phase system
Input source: Infinite; no balks, no reneging
Arrival distribution: Poisson
Queue: Unlimited; single line
Queue discipline: FIFO (FCFS)
Service distribution: Negative exponential
Relationship: Independent service & arrival
Service rate > arrival rate

Other types of models from the same source:
Simple (M/M/1)
Example: Information booth at mall

Multi-channel (M/M/S)
Example: Airline ticket counter
Constant Service (M/D/1)
Example: Automated car wash
Limited Population
Example: Department with only 7 drills
Note from asker:
Dziękuję. Samo się nasuwa, ale nie znalazłam nigdzie potwierdzenia, co mnie nieco zmartwiło i stąd moja prośba o pomoc.
Thanks for your effort :) From the links provided by Mike it seems that 'simple queuing theory' sounds good as well.
... and single-channel model too...
