English to German Art/Literary Poetry & Literature

Dear colleagues,

I am currently translating a novel set in the 9th century, and one of the characters uses the term "long hundred" ( of warriors, in this case).
Now, I know that a long hundred means ten dozen, 120. In order to avoid repetition, I was looking for a term that German might have had for the same concept. I have never heard of a "lange(s) Hundert", but maybe you have a smashing idea or some morsel of regional/folklore-flavored vocabulary that could help me avoid a dozen "dozens" per paragraph.
