English term

renowned of old

English to Turkish Social Sciences History
Kitabın bir dipnotunda, başka bir eserin, Bizans'ta iki imparatorluk hanedanından biri olan 'Palaiologos' soyadını "renowned of old" olarak yorumladığından söz ediliyor.

"[Eserin adı] interprets the name Palaiologos to mean 'renowned of old'."

Aramalarımda karşılaştığım şu örnekten:

"The cavalry, for which France had been renowned of old, was mounted on...."

"Öteden/eskiden beri [süvarileri ile] ünlü/bilinen..." doğrultusunda bir şey diyesim geliyor ancak önerilerinizi almak isterim.

Şimdiden teşekkür ederim.

Wrong pair? Should this be an English to Turkish question?
