Italian term

ateromasia parietale mista

Italian to English Medical Medical: Cardiology
From a patient admitted to undergo TAVI:

AORTA TORACOADDOMINALE

Pervi e di buon calibro anche gli assi iliaco-femorali fin dove esplorati (minima ateromasia parietale mista in corrispondenza di entrambe le arterie iliache comuni).

If anyone could help with the entire bit in brackets up to 'both common iliac arteries' that would be great! :)

TIA! :)

mixed atherosclerosis

I'm fairly confident this is what they mean. Atherosclerosis affects the artery wall by default, so use of the terms "parietale" is unnecessary.

"The atherosclerosis in 30-month-old WHHL-MI rabbits progressed extensively and anatomically, but still trapped 68GaDOTA-FAMP, whereas in the 8-month-old WHHL-MI rabbits there was mixed atherosclerosis with plaque-rich/-poor lesions."

"A. Motion artifact in the mid LAD B. Mild noncalcific atherosclerosis in the mid LAD C. Moderate mixed atherosclerosis in the mid LAD.".

We support the suggestion of Mozes ec al. 4 that there are three classes of Buerger's disease, since all clinical criteria cannot i::l all cases be met. These classes are: (I) unequivocal Buerger's disease with criteria fulfilled; (il) 'Buerger's syndrome', where the clinical evidence favours Buerger's disease but all criteria cannot be met; and (iii) mixed atherosclerosis and Buerger's disease, where radiological signs of atherosclerosis are noted but Buerger's disease is favoured on clinical grounds."

agree Anne Schulz : I don't think that mixed atherosclerosis (or ateromasia mista) is medically really well defined; so it would seem prudent to stay with a literal rendering.
