: my understanding, too (sciatica covers both the "Lumbo" and the "ischialgie" part: pain in the lower back radiating to the buttocks and down the thigh along the course of the sciatic nerve(s)

This is a very common word and a pretty widespread pain among different populations!
lumboischialgia = this is the German spelling the English spelling is
without first 'i'.

A combination of lumbago and sciatica is referred to as lumboischialgia. It is both described as back pain, as well as pain a radiating to the leg.

Die Lumboischialgie ist ein lumbosakrales Wurzelreizsyndrom, bei dem Schmerzen im Bereich der Lendenwirbelsäule und im Versorgungsbereich des Nervus ischiadicus auftreten.
