English term

on the face the bill

English to French Other Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. general
Je pense qu'il manque un mot dans cette phrase et ce pourrait être "of" i.e on the face of the Bill.

Mais je ne suis pas sûre de ce que signifie "on the face" ici :

These include enhancing the powers of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority and covering the whole spectrum of exploitative acts related to modern slavery **on the face** the Bill.

Merci pour toute suggestion!!

neutral writeaway : so the source is wrong? These include enhancing the powers of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority and covering the whole spectrum of exploitative acts related to modern slavery on the face the Bill. http://www.jrf.org.uk/blog/2014/11/modern-slavery-bill

au vu du projet de loi

Il me semble que dans le contexte, c'est ce qui convient le mieux. Il manque "of" bien sûr.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Daryo : doesn't make sense - the ST is about this Bill itself, so this "anti-slavery Bill" can not be referred to as if it was some other act to take into account while considering the main act.

Typo sur "of" bien sûr

Reference:

Not so great attempt to use the expression 'on the face of it'? Here the bill instead of it?

on the face of it
used when you are describing how a situation seems on the surface:

Peer comments on this reference comment:

neutral Daryo : possible, but not very likely - this ST doesn't seem to imply any differences between what this Bill looks like and what it really is.
