The Performance Review Conversation is an opportunity to give fair and accurate feedback on performance (What & How), so the assoicate clearly understands where he/she stands and what areas should be focused on for development and success.
It is also an opportunity to give recognition for his / her impact on the business.
Plan the Conversation
Take care of the *logistics of your meetings*:
Schedule a day and a time for your meeting.
Think about the kind of conversation you will have with each individual; if you expect a meeting might be tough, schedule more time.
On average, you should plan 60 to 90 minutes per associate;
It is strongly recommended that this meeting be in person.
However, that may not be feasible in certain circumstances; in these cases, consider using Skype as an alternative;
If the meeting is in person, ensure you have a meeting room that is quiet, provides privacy and minimizes disruptions.
Depending on the circumstances, you may choose to send your associate’s PA form to him/her in advance of the meeting.
