Wat betreft "biological spill' in het Engels ben ik ook niet uit. 'Biologische lekkage' leek me wel leuk totdat ik zag dat er geen google treffers waren. Het gaat om giftige/gevaralijke stoffen in een fabriek die tijdens de verwerking kunnen morsen.

Also called "blood and other body fluids" (BBF) (Ik heb eerder met dat bijltje gehakt.)

Blood or body fluids (BBF) that may contain blood-borne pathogens are considered to be serum, plasma, any fluid containing visible blood, vaginal fluid, semen, and amniotic, pleural, peritoneal, synovial or cerebrospinal fluids.

Tears, saliva, urine, and faeces are NOT considered to transmit blood borne pathogens, with the exception of Hepatitis B virus (HBV), which may be transmitted via saliva.

OPIM Typically the Diocese of Lansing does not have individuals whose primary job involves regular exposure to blood or Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM) such as vomit, urine, feces, and other body fluids. However, there are non-routine tasks where teachers, office staff, and custodians may have to assist in dealing with blood or OPIM. Individuals whose job involves regular exposure (i.e., school nurses) should refer to the diocesan policy in their Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens.

Ja biologische stoffen zoals ze in een laboratorium getroffen kunnen worden maar dat hoeft niet per se. Het betreft bloed, OPIM (weet niet of je weet wat dat is), en andere verontreinigde stoffen die bloedoverdraagbare pathogenen kunnen bevatten. Dus zo'n beetje alle biologische ziekmakers, om dat simpeltjes uit te drukken.

Laboratories using infectious materials, including recombinant microorganisms must develop spill response plans addressing foreseeable occurrences. The following materials should be assembled in one place in laboratories using infectious materials; all personnel must know of the location.

•forceps, tongs, broom, dust pan
•personal protective equipment (PPE): safety glasses, goggles, or face shield, utility gloves, wrap-around lab coat, shoe covers (optional)
•'biohazard' bag, sharps container

Decontaminatie na morsen van potentieel besmet materiaal

Decontaminatie is specifieker dan "response" maar decontaminatie is wel wat er hoe dan ook zal moeten gebeuren. Als je dat niet wilt, kun je in plaats daarvan 'respons' gebruiken. Je kunt ook zeggen: Respons na morsen met biologische agentia (of humaan materiaal).
Weet je wel zeker dat het op een fabriek betrekking heeft, of een laboratorium? Kan het ook om dierlijk besmet materiaal gaan? Dan humaan niet gebruiken, dus.
