Japanese term

もりもり

Non-PRO Japanese to English Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
Dear Proz members,

I was wondering about the meaning of the word もりもり.

Two men are fighting a monster, and one of them tells the other one to pick up a ray-gun from the floor and shot the monster. The second man obeys and successfully kills the monster, than the first one just says "いいぞ!もりもり".

Any hint on what does this mean? Maybe he just wants to say that his partner hitted the target?

Thank you very much!

確かに! Port Cityさん、そういう意味でも捉えられますね。I agree です。

「いいぞ、その調子!」とは言うので、「その調子!」の代わりかも。

I am sure it's not a name in this case. :(

I really don't know what to add... it's just this guy who was nearly killed by the monster reacting to a successful hit with this sentence. Monolingual or bilingual dictionaries didn't help me so far. :(

Thank you to everyone for your entries!

Morimori (just a name) I guess, もりもり is mere the name of a player...
It can also mean "heartily" - like "to eat heartily" rather onomatopoeic though - but this doesn't fit obviously. Or probably it wants to say "More, more!"
Well, is there more information with which we can guess what it is?
