Dinosaur ants are really huge ants. They’re some of the biggest ants in the world. They’re somewhere between an inch to an inch and a half in size. Any time you’re active in a rainforest in Latin America you have to be very aware of these ants, because they really hurt when they sting. For example, the Tupi people of Brazil describe these as the ones that hurt much with their underparts, and that’s really an understatement.
