English term

pay as you go credits and other entitlements

English to French Bus/Financial Finance (general) impôts
Bonjour

J'ai un avis d'imposition établi en Australie à traduire, et je ne vois pas bien comment traduire cela :

"pay as you go credits and other entitlements"

Je pense que cela concerne un régime de retraite par répartition. Est-ce que cela signifie que les cotisations de retraite donnent lieu à un crédit / déduction sur l'impôt à payer ?

Voici le texte de la rubrique concernée:

"Assessed tax payable ........

Plus other liabilities ........

Medicare levy ........

Less tax offset refunds ........

Less pay as you go credits and other entitlements

PAYG withholding (eg tax deducted by your employer or bank)

Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

English term (edited): pay-as-you-go credits and other entitlements

crédits de l'impôt prélevé à la source (sur les salaires) et autres droits

pay-as-you-go credits = amounts of taxes paid over what was due in the previous period (are in effect a "credit" given to taxman) and so are to be deducted from the current taxes due.

or an expanded version:

crédits de l'impôt prélevé à la source sur les salaires et autres droits

...
pay-as-you-go credits and other entitlements

PAYG withholding (eg tax deducted by your employer or bank)
...

this "pay-as-you-go" is PAYG a withholding tax (= prélèvement ou retenue à la source ) on salaries

"Payroll tax

Payroll taxes are taxes imposed on employers or employees, and are usually calculated as a percentage of the salaries that employers pay their staff. Payroll taxes generally fall into two categories:
-- deductions from an employee’s wages, and
-- taxes paid by the employer based on the employee's wages.

The first kind are taxes that employers are required to withhold from employees' wages, also known as withholding tax, pay-as-you-earn tax (PAYE), or pay-as-you-go tax (PAYG) and often covering advance payment of income tax, social security contributions, and various insurances (e.g., unemployment and disability). ..."
