French term

RTG

French to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering

I understand that it is a kind of crane and it is in English itself. However, unable to find the exact information as this is not my area of expertise. If somebody can help.

TIA

Discussion

Terry Richards Aug 11, 2014:
Chris... ...was first with the reference.
Gaurav Sharma (asker) Aug 11, 2014:
To whom shall I give the point? It is not right. All answers are same with same number of agrees. Whom shall I reward the point. Please help me. Shall I leave it on the system itself?
chris collister Aug 8, 2014:
A remarkable consensus! But as Right-a-weigh points out, not too hard to find...

If I hadn't gone back for the reference, we could have had a triple :)
Peer comment(s):

agree writeaway : it is a triple. At 9 minutes, grane had to be corrected to crane (and then at 10 min, the same ref was added). it's just a matter of who rushed in first. a split second later does not make this answer any less valid/correct

neutral B D Finch : Nearly a triple, but I did get my correction in at the 9th minute!

Rubber tyred gantry (crane)

Peer comment(s):

agree writeaway : exact ref I found in a split second and I don't go near this field. you were the only one to get it 100% correct, with ref, at 9 minutes. Since time appears to be of the essence here......

Thanks!

Thanks, Barbara. But I think you should be the lucky winner...

Thanks, Terry
agree philgoddard : You were first, so you should get the votes and points.

You're too kind. Perhaps we should settle with pistols at dawn?
disagree Dominic D : I agree but thought it would be fair to have + 3 on each ...sorry

Hmm, unusual.... 1.333333 points each??
agree Tony M : I can't say I agree with Dominic's tactic for 'fairness'

Sorry, that should, of course be "Crane", not "Grane"!

Thanks Chris. We might have tied!
agree writeaway : Not my field at all but immediately and easily findable in a split second /the actual answer is a typo. Technically this is worthy of a neutral since the correction -and reference- only came in at 10 min..........
10 mins
Thanks writeaway. Exactly. The correction and first reference were actually at 9 mins and displayed before Chris's answer. I then added the Wikipedia reference at 10 mins.
