coronit spring coils
Coronit is the name of an artificial material here, dunno really what kind..
But one would hardly use quartz-like material in a brace/orthosis...
At a hardness of 47 to 57 HRC, Coronit resists fretting and scoring. On top of that, Coronit facilitates peripheral speeds of up to 12 m/s thanks to its excellent thermal and tribological properties.

Cast Iron Materials:
Duronit
Siculit
Coronit

About spring coils in a context of braces:
coil-spring brace : A brace with a single or double coil spring hinge.
http://cirrie.buffalo.edu/encyclopedia/en/article/174/
Spring coils produce a consistent controlled force with little material breakdown, an advantage over rubber bands.

Perhaps "coil springs" rather than "spring coils"...

dravite shaft
Coronit is dravite in English. There is one form of dravite on the internet that looked almost like plumage on a bird. One synonym for feather is a shaft, which I believe would be more correct given the context. BTW, dravite is a type of crystal stone, quartz like.

: I'd like to see some references for this. And doesn't Feder mean coil or spring?
