I have the beforementioned phrase in the following sentence:
We now know that the whole affair was a very *close shave*, based largely on misunderstandings and misinterpretations.

Just to borrow a Qur'anic phrase to make sense of the idea of narrow escape. I thought you may, if you wish, use a different ending to the phrase ( الكارثة) for example, instead of ( النار).
