Het gaat om Dynamic Traction Control, een systeem dat de rotatiesnelheden van de wielen onder moeilijke omstandigheden (gladde weg, bochten) controleert. Het systeem wordt geactiveerd met sensoren die de snelheden van de individuele wielen meet.

Je hebt gelijk, DTC staat voor Diagnostic Trouble Code en DTC 's zijn storings- of foutcodes die zijn opgeslagen in de computer van de auto en die kunnen worden uitgelezen op het scherm van het diagnosesysteem. Hier kun je een site met de betekenis van deze foutcodes vinden:

Het werkwoord "set" is vrij algemeen, maar ik denk dat je "instellen" kunt gebruiken: de DTC wordt ingesteld/ opnieuw ingesteld op het scherm. Dus instellen in de zin van verschijnen of optreden.
