ventricular inundation
This is based on the Spanish description I posted in my Reference comment ("inundar los ventrículos"). I don't find that many online references to it, so my confidence level is only a 3.
I've found this sentence online, although I can't tell if it's from a source translated from another language ... it's from an English-language journal:
" A case of rupture of an aneurysm of the right middle cerebral artery with ventricular inundation of the contrast medium during angiography is reported. "

Here's a sentence from the American Journal of Neuroradiology (online) ... but the authors are Italian:
"In the 24 hours that followed, 2 patients died: one from a devastating intracerebral bleeding with ventricular inundation and the other as a consequence of the intraprocedural MCA rupture"
I find more hits for "ventricular invasion" but also not as many as I would like.

Have you looked at this? Sometimes I don't believe I'm going to find something in KudoZ so I don't even bother to look:
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/medical/201833-...
Also see a Spanish description here: http://www.intramed.net/sitios/librovirtual1/pdf/librovirtua...
"La hemorragia cerebral no traumática se produce por un sangrado en el parénquima cerebral, pudiendo extenderse e inundar los ventrículos (volcado ventricular)."

Note from asker:
Hi Joesph, yes, I did look, and sometimes I wonder if the search system has changed, as this does not appear when I search. Thank you very much. |

: I don't believe "dump"; it's probably contamination from the computer meaning of "volcado". Nor is the chosen answer "spilling" convincing (no Google results btw). I was considering ventricular invasion, but like you I find the evidence a bit scanty.
